Canceled 3¢ U.S. commemorative stamp issued September 30, 1935, to mark the dedication of Boulder Dam (now Hoover Dam) in Black Canyon of the Colorado River. The ceremony was led by President Franklin Roosevelt. Stamp features a detailed engraving of the dam nestled in rocky terrain. Originally named Hoover, then Boulder, and officially Hoover again. Printed using rotary press with perforations 11 x 10.5. Lightly mounted with stamp hinge tape, removable without damage.
