This original 1952 U.S. Air Force life raft paddle assembly includes a reflective signal surface for night rescue operations. Measuring approximately 14" long by 3-1/4" wide, each paddle features printed instructions and a reflective blade side designed to catch searchlight beams. Issued during the Korean War era, these paddles were part of escape and evasion kits for downed pilots and aircrew.
