Commemorative U.S. postage stamp issued in 1958 to mark the 200th anniversary of the British and Colonial American capture of Fort Duquesne from the French on November 25, 1758. The blue design depicts mounted troops approaching the strategic fort, which was later renamed Fort Pitt. This stamp honors a turning point in the colonial struggle for control of North America.
