This is the 1962 United States 8‑cent Airmail stamp featuring a jet airliner flying over the U.S. Capitol, issued December 5, 1962. The design was recess‑printed in Carmine and released in both sheet and coil formats. The example shown is the coil version, identified by its horizontal perforation 10, cataloged as Scott C65.
