The back highlights the January 10, 1991 trade that sent Glenn Davis to Baltimore in exchange for Finley, Pete Harnisch, and Curt Schilling — a deal that became one of Houston’s most successful acquisitions. Finley quickly became the Astros’ leadoff hitter and starting center fielder, using his excellent speed and aggressive style to hit .285 with 34 steals and 10 triples in 1991. He went on to play 19 MLB seasons, finishing with 304 home runs, 320 steals, and five Gold Gloves.
