Block of six 32¢ Hanukkah stamps issued October 22, 1996, the first U.S. postage stamp to commemorate Hanukkah. Released jointly by the United States and Israel, this issue marked the beginning of USPS participation in Hanukkah holiday designs. Created by artist Hannah Smotrich, the modern illustration features a colorful menorah with nine candles rendered in bold geometric shapes. Identified as Scott 3118. All stamps are mint, never hinged, with original gum and clean perforations.
