The Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal (IRCM) Ribbon is a United States Department of Defense service award and campaign medal. It was established by Executive Order on March 30, 2016, by President Barack Obama. The medal recognizes service members who have served in Iraq, Syria, or contiguous waters or airspace since June 15, 2014.

Eligibility: Service members who were permanently assigned, attached, or detailed to a unit operating in the area of eligibility (AOE) for 30 consecutive or non-consecutive days, or who meet specific criteria such as being engaged in combat, or being killed, wounded, or medically evacuated from the AOE.
Area of Eligibility (AOE): The land areas of Iraq and Syria, the contiguous waters of each extending out to 12 nautical miles, and the airspace above these area
