The Iraq Campaign Medal (ICM) is a decoration presented by the United States Armed Forces to personnel who served within Iraq or surrounding waters between March 19, 2003 to a date yet to be determined. To be eligible, service members must have served at least 30 consecutive or 60 cumulative days within the Iraqi borders.
The designated Campaigns are as follows:
Liberation of Iraq - March 19th, 2003 to May 1st, 2003
Transition of Iraq - May 2nd, 2003 to June 28th, 2004
Iraqi Governance - June 29th, 2004 to December 15th, 2005
National Resolution - December 16th, 2005 to January 9th, 2007
Iraqi Surge - January 10th, 2007 to December 31st, 2008
Iraqi Sovereignty - January 1st, 2009 to August 31st, 2010
New Dawn - September 1st, 2010 - to a date to be determined.
