The medal features a circular bronze design with an emblem that includes a ship, a bird with outstretched wings, and a shield bearing the colors of the Kuwaiti flag—red, white, green, and black.
The ribbon follows the same color scheme, displaying vertical stripes in red, white, and green, along with a black triangle at the top.
The reverse side of the Kuwait Liberation Medal features a map of Kuwait set against a background of radiating rays.
At the top of the medal, there is an Arabic inscription that reads "وسام التحرير 1991" (Liberation Medal 1991), emphasizing its historical significance.
They had this glued to a board by the ribbon top. We carefully removed it with hair dryer, but there is still glue residue that could be melted away further.
