The Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal is awarded to U.S. Marine Corps personnel for participation in landings, combat operations, or other designated missions where no other campaign medal applies. Measuring 1-3/8 inches in diameter and 3 inches in overall height, this medal features a pinback design for secure attachment.
The obverse side depicts a Marine in full combat gear, advancing with one foot in water and the other on land, symbolizing readiness and adaptability. The reverse side includes an eagle perched on an anchor, surrounded by laurel sprigs, with the inscription "UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS" and "FOR SERVICE."
The ribbon incorporates red, white, and blue stripes, reflecting the Marine Corps' values and traditions. Established on May 8, 1919
Note: They has this glued on display, I used hair dryer and removed it, but there is still some glue that you can finish removing if desired, but the pin closes and opens without issue.
