US Army 1st Lieutenant Rank Patch Strip – ODG Black Sew-On Folded Twill

United States Army First Lieutenant rank insignia patch strip featuring black embroidered bars on olive drab green (ODG) twill material. This subdued design is consistent with Vietnam-era military uniform insignia. The strip is designed to be cut down the center to create a matching pair for collar wear. These insignia were used on vintage field uniforms, where they were cut, folded, and sewn onto uniform collars. Constructed in folded twill, with material folded over and sewn together on the back to create a stiffer, double-layered piece.
