This is an original U.S. military police baton/nightstick holster, manufactured by ALPCO and dated 1962. Crafted from thick black leather, it was designed to hold a standard MP billy club or nightstick. The holster folds to approximately 3" wide by 7" tall, and opens to a full length of 10-1/2" x 3". Stamped “US” on the front and “ALPCO 1962” on the reverse, this Cold War-era accessory reflects standard issue gear for military police personnel. The original wrap-around retention strap is no longer intact—only the female snap component remains, and the male companion strap is missing.
