• New Zealand 1966 Christmas cover bearing two stamps: a 3d 'The Virgin with Child' after Carlo Maratta and a 1/2d Manuka pictorial.
• 3d Maratta stamp reads 'NEW ZEALAND' with '3d THE VIRGIN WITH CHILD • MARATTA CHRISTMAS 1966'; issued 3 October 1966 by the NZ Post Office.
• 1/2d Manuka stamp has a pink background, white manuka flowers, '1/2d', and 'NEW ZEALAND' at the bottom.
• Black circular postmark cancellation includes 'PARAPARAUMU' and 'N.Z.'.
• Cream/off-white paper envelope with a blue handwritten address and a blue-ink return address on the back flap; flap seams visible.
