The European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal was awarded to U.S. Armed Forces personnel who served in the European Theater during World War II between December 7, 1941, and March 2, 1946.
Measuring 1-5/16 inches in diameter and 3 inches in overall height, this medal features a pinback design for secure attachment.
The obverse side depicts a landing scene, symbolizing the Allied forces' efforts, with the inscription "EUROPEAN AFRICAN MIDDLE EASTERN CAMPAIGN" above.
The reverse side features a bald eagle, representing the United States, along with the words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and the years "1941-1945."
The ribbon includes a combination of green, brown, blue, white, red, and black stripes, representing the various theaters of operation.
They had this glued to a board by the ribbon top. We carefully removed it with hair dryer, but there is still glue residue that could be melted away further.
