Lot of 11 original steel stakes from a WWII-era Type D-1 Airplane Mooring Kit, issued by the U.S. Army Air Forces for securing tactical aircraft in field conditions. These forged steel stakes were designed for anchoring gliders and light aircraft against wind displacement and terrain instability. Each stake features a pointed end for ground penetration and a loop or eyelet for rope or rod interface. This listing includes stakes only, accompanied by a non-canvas carry bag shown in the photos.
